Musical Edge | South Dakota DJ, Sioux Falls DJ

It's been a long long long time since my last post! I've been extremely busy with starting my new full time job and developing new websites for our company! Here's a summary of the last 6 months of my life after graduating college and moving from Pella, IA to Sioux Falls, SD to start my full time job.

Work, DJ, build websites, work, DJ, build websites, work, DJ, build websites. Sadly, this is the story of my life! The biggest obstacle to overcome with moving to a city 5 hours away is that I had 5 months of DJ contracts in my name out! Hence, every weekend for the past 5 months have been spent driving from Sioux Falls, SD to Des Moines, IA to fulfill all of my contracts. 17,000 miles and 5 oil changes later - the majority of my DJ contracts in Iowa are finished. I can finally relax and take the first break from DJ'n in over two years.

During this time, I also had the chance to build new websites for both of our DJ locations. http://www.siouxfallsdj.net, http://www.iowadj.com, http://www.desmoines-dj.com, and http://www.desmoinesdj.net. Yep, I've been busy continuing to build the online presence for our Iowa DJ and Sioux Falls DJ based companies.

It's been such a busy Fall season that I haven't had the time to stay up to date with the blog! Although, I have extensively updated our YouTube Channel with recent event videos featuring a variety of gig logs. So check out our channel if you're bored!

We recently sponsored a bridal show in Des Moines, IA on September 28, 2008. I still have 5 DJ's on staff in Des Moines, which is why we were part of the show. It was a very successful day as we had a chance to meet hundreds of potential clients. Also, we are in the early stages of negotiating with a couple of reception halls regarding a permanent contract / house dj type of gig!

I tend to take 2 hours to wind down from the evening's DJ event; hence, I after my show tonight decided to create a Musical Edge Jukebox. It is posted throughout the website and it has a built in link to open a new window - allowing users to listen to my mixes while surfing the internet. Enjoy.
